Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is commonly used for MIG welding of carbon and alloy steel, but it can also be used in combination with stainless steel and gas shielding flux cored wires.

Apart from welding, Carbon Dioxide has a range of applications. It is used in the beverage industry for carbonation, in the conservation of liquids, in agriculture for enhancing plant growth, in chemical manufacturing, and in the production of paints, varnishes, and foam rubber.
